A Great Resource for Beginners
Here's an EXCELLENT resource for those new to online learning: (How Stuff Works - elearning). This provides a great overview of online learning...a MUST read...be sure to check out the last section (Lots More Information).

Reading through these resources, and other elearning introductory sites, the importance of mastering and focusing on the basics is evident. It's all about basics...

Online learning can be intimidating and confusing to those new to the field. Yet, the field itself is nothing new...it is merely merging education with the Internet...most Instructors have a good understanding of education, so what is required is building basic knowledge of the Internet.

An Instructor committed to learning this new medium will quickly be rewarded...elearning is not that difficult...the resource base is expanding, and assistance at RRC is growing...

Where to Start "Onlining" at RRC
As was mentioned at our first F2F (face to face) meeting, people interested in online learning, or in moving resources online have several options to get started:

1. Gene Semchych - Program and Curriculum Services
2. Dave Gurney - eTV
3. Gord McBean - TLTC
4. RROC - online or F2F

Anyone interested in going online has a wealth of resources to draw on at RRC...and the base continues to grow.
