Articles worth reading:

Teaching Online
Quote: "In my first year teaching online, I have been amused to discover that class dynamics remain the same, whether in a conventional classroom or in a virtual one, to which students can log on and weigh in from all over the country - and the world."

Internet Damages Children's Ability to Learn?
Quote: "Dr Blackmore predicted that the rapid advancement of new technology would mean so much information was available at the touch of a button that humans would no longer need to gain knowledge in the traditional sense by storing information in their own memories."

Usability of Internet Pages
Quote: "Theoretically, the interactive elements should conserve space without decreasing the usability of the site...If we measured whether users found information they were seeking, we should see no difference in their success on the sites with the interactive elements and the sites without those elements...We found users follow a pattern: they decide what they are going to click on before they move the mouse. "

How's that for an interesting mix of articles? I found the second article interesting...obviously elearning is open to much criticism...after all it goes against the "establishment"...i.e. "what has always been done"...I think it is important that online teachers evaluate the Internet medium for its flaws, as well as its positives . After all, training on the Internet is not only about technology, it is about a tool that can enable more effective learning...
