As this article discusses, (Sowing the Seeds) technology has the potential to significantly improve the quality of life for many people. One of the greatest areas of promise is in developing countries. Building Internet infrastructure promises to be less expensive (and more effective?) than attempting to recreate the higher education structure that exists in developed countries...
